Singer-actor Igor Portnoi is a graduate of the State Academy for Theatrical Arts in Moscow, where he performed the leading roles in the numerous productions, including Judas in the first Russian production of "Jesus Christ Superstar".

He is the Laureate of the National Singing TV Competitions "Jurmala" and "Magic Crystal". Igor participated in the opening and closing ceremonies of XII World Festival of Youth and Students and Grand opening Ceremony of the V World Championship for Boxing in Moscow.

After moving to Canada Igor continued his artistic carrier. His North American credits include performances for the World Tour of "The Phantom Of The Opera", Canadian Opera Company, Hamilton Opera Company, Opera in Concert, Toronto Operetta, Kalinka Performing Arts Company, CBC, BBC. He can be heard on the cast recording of the musical "Ragtime" and his solo albums "Russian on Broadway" and "Let's get together"

On December 2, 2002 Igor has received a Green Card of USA as a recognition of his extraordinary talent.

He is performin now in the musical " Beauty and the Beast" in Moscow
